In Loyola, Spain, all little Inigo Lopez de Loyola wanted was to be a brave knight.
During a battle, both of Ignatius' legs were badly injured. He suffered through several surgeries and while he healed, he began to read the only books available to him, the lives of the saints and Christ. He became a changed man. Now all he wanted was to serve the One True God!
After getting a full education, he began to instruct others and founded the Society of Jesus (Jesuits).
